Both Nursery School and Pre-School are bilingual settings. At ICT we acknowledge the importance of dual language education from an early age, as well as providing infants with meaningful experiential learning to get them started on high quality instruction. Our objective is to instill human values as an integral part of the school curriculum. Our ongoing inspiration is the Ignatian Teaching Model which is present in play and activities that stimulate skills, attitudes, abilities and values in our children. As they develop these cognitive and social skills in an emerging bilingual context, they also gain competence for daily life and for the school years ahead.

Another feature common to Jesuit Education is an adequate discipline without hurting the students’ self-worth. We use the well-known program called Discipline with Dignity, which promotes school and classroom management through reflective discussions, resulting in an atmosphere of tolerance, which enables educators to form children who are just and kind to others. A Jesuit student will understand that he / she has the obligation to treat, and the right to be treated with respect, politeness and courtesy inside and outside the classroom.

At Instituto Cultural Tampico an interdisciplinary team is concerned with the development of the whole person: intellect and feelings; in other words, it is a call to attain the fullest possible development of the best of human qualities. At ICT, staff, Foreign Language Department coordinators, psychologists, and administrators foster professionalization, research, and innovation concerning education, in order to optimize what is done in the classroom.

Furthermore, we contribute with parents in nurturing and shaping their children through conferences and workshops aimed to provide a thorough understanding of the integral characteristics of each child as well as an optimal management of their emotions.

We have a well-equipped range of facilities to ensure pleasant and safe experiences, full of learning opportunities. The classrooms have air conditioning for more comfort during learning and play.
